This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 41. Nov/Dec 1990. If you follow the plan here and use basic hardware and a few nice pine boards,
you should be able to bring this project in on a fairly small budget. Note that
the plan is for the canopy: it doesn't include a headboard or footboard. This
is a traditional scrolled design with a crown molding to cap off the top. The
joinery involves miter cuts, nails, glue, a couple of rabbets and grooves, some
edge-forming with a router and a little scroll or saber saw work.
Bedroom
Approx: Queen size, 82'' tall
