This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 8, Issue 5, Page 50. Sep/Oct 1984. Here's a long case clock in a style that originated in England in the 17th
century. Henry Clay Work's famous song, "My Grandfather's Clock",
became popular in the 1880s, and since then these clocks have been known as
grandfather clocks. This is a strong intermediate or advanced skills plan that
calls for ogee feet, a raised arch base panel, arched panels for the waist and
hood doors, a broken arch pediment, turned spindles and a calendar moon dial.
Have your movement and dial in hand before you begin. These represent a substantial
investment, but the end result is a sound return on your stake.
This is large and complex plan.
