This project plan appeared in Woodworker's Journal Volume 7, Issue 3, Page 45. May/Jun 1983. As American as apple pie, this four-foot wide eagle and flag is a magnificent
carving project. The instructions are so detailed and well-illustrated that
it could actually be completed by a beginning carver, although we suggest trying
something smaller if it's your very first project. The image is built up in
layers and painted with enamels and a rub-on gold leaf.
